World class craftmanship at Newark

Our students travel from across the globe to study Musical Instrument Crafts at Newark.

About Newark

Newark-on-Trent is a thriving market town, and with great road and rail links, you can travel to the cities of Nottingham and Lincoln in around 30 minutes.

Today the town offers a full range of facilities, affordable housing and a traditional community atmosphere. The town has a vibrant market four days a week and is host to a growing number of events that celebrate music including jazz and folk festivals.

Accommodation

Private rented flats and houses are available for students aged over 18. Students will have to sign a rental agreement (a legal document) with a landlord usually through a letting agent. Newark College cannot arrange private accommodation on a student's behalf.

Prices for rented accommodation start from around £60 per week, depending on facilities.

Although we do not have our own accommodation at the College, there is a plentiful supply located in the town, within walking distance of the College and both rail and bus stations.

For help finding privately-rented accommodation please contact our International Office or visit our dedicated Accommodation page to see a list of providers in the town.

You can also view our Guide to Living in Newark brochure, here.
